Can anyone help me?

Hi all,

Last year here in Melbourne the National Gallery of Victoria held an exhibition of Impressionist paintings from the Musee d'Orsay. I went and absolutely loved it. There was one painting in particular that I fell in love with and I have been racking my brains to try and remember what was called and who it was by. The painting was on a really wide canvas and was a beautiful oil painting of a ballroom scene, from one end of the room to the other. There were people at both ends dressed in all their finery, both standing and sitting down, and I think there was an orchestra as well. The scene was not overly close up, but the detailing of the room and the people was just phenomenal. The title of the painting was something like "The Party" or "The Dance" or "The Ballroom". I have searched high and low on the Internet to find it, but cannot. my boyfriend think's the artist's name was possibly Arnaud / Arnaut something, but I haven't been able to find anything remotely close to that.

Can anyone help me out with suggestions? At the exhibition this painting exhibited was opposite James Tissot's famous work of the woman in that gorgeous yellow dress, if that helps anyone who attended. Hope someone can point me in the right direction!

Thanks.
